Matt Hardy made his return to TNA at the Rebellion pay-per-view after his AEW contract expired and he has been part of TNA television since then. The same happened with Jeff Hardy who returned to TNA at Against All Odds. With both Hardys working together again, we now have an update on the duo possibly returning to WWE as part of the company’s working relationship with TNA.
The partnership between WWE and TNA is making waves in wrestling. Both promotions are frequently swapping talent, and WWE had a big presence at TNA Slammiversary as well.
PWInsider reports that Matt and Jeff Hardy met with WWE officials earlier today in Cleveland, Ohio. The meeting took place early this morning, but details of the discussion are not yet known. It’s also been reported that some content was filmed for WWE’s digital platforms.
The Hardys are scheduled to appear at this weekend’s TNA tapings and are signing autographs today at WrestleCon’s Destination Cleveland, but that doesn’t mean they will appear at SummerSlam.
The Hardys also previously made it clear that they want to go back to WWE and have their first run as the NXT Tag Team Champions. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see if the dynamic duo will finally return to WWE television soon, as anything is truly possible now thanks to WWE and TNA’s working relationship.
