Why The Hardy Boyz Had Meeting with WWE Before SummerSlam Weekend

WWE has had several instances of individuals leaving the company only to return later. The Hardy Boyz left WWE years ago, but after their stint with AEW, they might be considering a return to their pro wrestling home once again. There is certainly a hope from some fans that they will see Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy in WWE once again.

Reports indicate that the Hardy Boyz recently met with WWE. Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that the duo was spotted outside one of the WWE talent hotels, and this raised questions about their involvement with the company.

Inquiries with the Hardys confirmed they were in town for WrestleCon and had been invited to film interviews and content. Some of this content is for active series, and there is potential for Hardy-specific presentations. While they are currently in TNA, they are working without a contract, although they still have committed dates and are reportedly enjoying their time there.

WWE sources mentioned that there is not much to read into this situation, while other sources outside the company believe the Hardys might make an appearance eventually. The situation is worth monitoring for any new developments.

Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy are considered strong candidates for the WWE Hall of Fame. While a return would be notable, it seems there may not be much significance to their presence in the Cleveland area with so many activities surrounding the SummerSlam event.
