Few WWE NXT Superstars have entered the brand with as much momentum as Bron Breakker. As the son of Rick Steiner, Bron Breakker carries the moveset of Scott Steiner and the combined charisma of both Steiner Brothers. With a wealth of untapped potential, even on the main roster, Breakker has been receiving high praise from Shawn Michaels.
Bron Breakker emerged as a key figure during the NXT 2.0 era, securing the NXT Championship twice. After participating in the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble, he transitioned to the main roster. Initially splitting his time between NXT and SmackDown, he became a permanent member of WWE Raw following the WWE Draft. Since then, Breakker has become a breakout star and is set to challenge Sami Zayn for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WWE SummerSlam.
In an interview with The Athletic, Shawn Michaels spoke highly of Breakker, highlighting his potential for greatness. Michaels, who worked closely with Breakker in NXT, and he believes that the second-generation Superstar has all the tools to achieve a run that is up there with the greats.
“He has all the tools to have a run like Goldberg or Steve Austin or Roman Reigns. He’s as gifted as they come. The thing that impressed me most about him was his ability to be coached. He trusted me. He trusted our process here. When you have special athletes, sometimes they think they understand or know the system because they’ve been great at everything else. He never came across that way.”
Goldberg’s legendary wrestling career included an undefeated streak, and while WWE doesn’t have the same roster of enhancement talent to elevate Breakker similarly, he has been positioned to elevate his character, including taking out Ricochet. That storyline with Ricochet was his last before leaving the company, and Breakker was credited for sidelining him.
Bron Breakker is making a strong impact, and his upcoming match against Sami Zayn for the WWE Intercontinental Title at SummerSlam is highly anticipated. His seriousness about winning was recently demonstrated when he speared a Zayn fan during an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show.
