Trish Stratus Addresses Potential Tiffany Stratton Match

Tiffany Stratton burst onto the SmackDown roster earlier this year, quickly establishing herself as a top star in the women’s division. She also made it clear she wants to square off against Trish Stratus and now Stratus has responded to the same.

At Money in the Bank 2024, Tiffany Stratton emerged victorious in the women’s ladder match, competing against five other WWE Superstars. Stratton clinched the win by tipping over a ladder, which sent Chelsea Green crashing through tables outside the ring. With Green taken out, Stratton seized the opportunity, climbed the ladder, and retrieved the briefcase. She then proudly declared, “Tiffy Time.”

Afterwards, during the Money in the Bank media scrum, Tiffany Stratton was asked about squaring off against Trish Stratus. Stratton made it clear that she was more than ready to face her.

”Listen, those are two different generations. And Trish is one of my idols in pro wrestling and I am ready to get in the ring with the GOAT.”

While speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Trish Stratus was asked about possibly facing off against Tiffany Stratton. Trish Stratus explained her comeback by emphasizing that it’s about meeting several key objectives. She considers factors like fan interest and whether the role presents a new challenge for her. Returning as a heel was a personal challenge and offered something new for the audience.

Working with Zoe Stark also allowed her to impact a new generation. She noted that her comeback is fulfilling several of her goals. If given the opportunity and depending on the situation, she’s open to returning, but she added that if Tiffany Stratton keeps running her mouth then perhaps she needs to shut Stratton up.

“Hey listen, I told you I checked some boxes when it’s time for a comeback. It’s not about nothing; it’s about something, right? It’s about a few things. Will the fans be interested? Is this a challenge for me as a performer? Going back as a heel was a challenge for me and something different for the fans. Working with Zoe checked the box of influencing a different generation or impacting someone else along the way. So, yeah, as I’m saying these out loud, it’s checking those boxes. There are a few boxes being checked, you know? And again, like I said, if I can go back, not 100%, I will and I’ll consider it. But I don’t know; if she[Tiffany Stratton] keeps running her mouth, maybe you’ve got to put some people in their place. What can I say?”

Trish Stratus came back before Money in the Bank for a couple of appearances but nothing substantial and she also teased a surprise appearance ahead of SummerSlam this week. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether Stratus and Tiffany Stratton will duke it out inside the squared circle somewhere down the line.
