Logan Paul, currently the WWE United States Champion and a big name in the wrestling world, has created controversy with his views on a transgender boxer’s victory at the Paris Olympics. Despite his popularity and success in WWE, his comments on this issue have sparked debate. Many fans have rallied to his side, arguing that his views are not transphobic and that the backlash he faces may be overstated.

At the 2024 Olympic Games, Algeria’s Imane Khelif achieved a swift victory over Italy’s Angela Carini, who abandoned the match after just 46 seconds. The video of Carini crying post-match has gone viral, fueling controversy and raising questions about Khelif’s eligibility due to her gender.

Khelif’s participation has been contentious, especially following her disqualification from the 2023 World Championships over an unspecified gender eligibility issue. In their bout, Carini and Khelif barely engaged before Carini walked away, an unusual outcome in Olympic boxing. Carini’s headgear was dislodged several times during the brief match. After the fight, Carini refused to shake Khelif’s hand and was seen crying on the ring floor.

Logan Paul did not hold back in his criticism of the 2024 Paris Olympic boxing match controversy. He condemned the situation, describing it as the “purest form of evil” seen at the Games. When it was pointed out that the boxer was not transgender, he didn’t really take it all that seriously and simply doubled down on the fact that men shouldn’t compete with women.

In fact, The Maverick took to Twitter and made a poll, where he asked fans if his opinion that men shouldn’t be allowed to compete against women is transphobic. 69.1% of fans voted no, making it clear they do not believe Paul is transphobic whatsoever.

”Is my opinion that men shouldn’t be allowed to compete against women transphobic?”

Val Venis threw Cody Rhodes and Tony Khan under the bus for supporting trans rights. Regardless, Logan Paul clearly has quite a few backers in this regard and that’s all that matters to him.
