The Unholy Union, comprised of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn, have been on a tear for the past couple of months after becoming the Women’s Tag Team Champions. While they are obviously busy as the champions, Isla Dawn also keeps up to date with the recent events at the Olympics and has now called out transphobes following the controversy at the Paris Olympics concerning a women’s boxing match.

During the 2024 Olympic Games, Algeria’s Imane Khelif defeated Italy’s Angela Carini in a highly brief bout, with Carini quitting after just 46 seconds. The video of Carini crying post-match has gone viral, sparking controversy and accusations against Khelif regarding her eligibility due to her gender.

Khelif’s participation in the Paris Olympics has been contentious, following her disqualification from the 2023 World Championships due to an unspecified gender eligibility test. In their match, Carini and Khelif exchanged only a few punches before Carini walked away, a rare occurrence in Olympic boxing. Carini’s headgear was dislodged at least once before she abandoned the match. After the fight, Carini did not shake Khelif’s hand and was seen crying on her knees in the ring.

In light of the controversy, Isla Dawn took to Twitter and expressed frustration about the shifting standards for womanhood, accusing others of lacking media literacy and holding transphobic views. She suggested that such opinions should be kept private and wished everyone a good day.

”Baffled by the constantly moving goalposts for womanhood. Just say you have zero media literacy and keep your transphobic opinions to yourself. Have a good day 👍🏻”

Logan Paul has the exact opposite views of Isla Dawn in this regard and Val Venis threw Cody Rhodes and Tony Khan under the bus for the same reason. Regardless, everyone has a right to their opinion and this controversy might not end anytime soon.
