CM Punk shocked the wrestling world by making his triumphant return to WWE back in November at the Survivor Series event. During his time in WWE, he has worked under both Vince McMahon and Triple H and Punk has now stated that The Game is far more approachable than McMahon.

Triple H took over as the Head of Creative in WWE back in 2022 after Vince McMahon temporarily retired and since then, the company has changed drastically in the right direction. After all, business is truly booming and they are on a hot streak in a big way, especially with McMahon gone from WWE.

In 2014, CM Punk’s relationship with WWE became strained due to a series of issues, including creative differences with Vince McMahon, medical concerns, and disputes over merchandise royalties. Feeling undervalued and mishandled by WWE management, Punk’s frustration culminated in a highly publicized walkout and subsequent release from the company on his wedding day.

While speaking in a recent interview with Jimmy Traina of Sports Illustrated, CM Punk compared his experiences working with Vince McMahon and Triple H. Punk noted that under McMahon, wrestlers and staff often had to wait outside his office and felt intimidated, whereas Triple H does not create that same environment.

“I think Vince [McMahon] would make people wait outside his office. There’d be like a line, you know what I mean, and people would be intimidated by that. And I don’t get that read off of Triple H at all. I don’t see people waiting outside his office.”

Punk observed that Triple H is more approachable and accessible, focusing on the overall success of the company rather than maintaining an intimidating presence. He remarked that while he always tried to be respectful of McMahon’s time, Triple H’s hands-on approach and genuine interest in helping everyone perform their best have created a more positive atmosphere.

“I never had that with Vince; I would always just like go in and ask him a question if I needed to. Never trying to waste his time, never trying to waste Triple H’s time, but I see him [Paul Levesque] being a lot more hands-on with people and approachable and accessible. He wants everybody to be their best because he wants the show to be the best. So there’s no leftover 80s macho kind of weird energy going on.”

Even Cody Rhodes stated that Triple H has an open mind to things unlike Vince McMahon. Randy Orton also believes WWE under Triple H as the Head of Creative is what’s best for business. Regardless, with all the deals and interesting ideas Triple H has been coming up with over the months, fans can’t wait to see what else WWE will have in store for them.
