CM Punk Reveals Details About Jesse Ventura Interaction After 7/29 WWE RAW

CM Punk has a lot of people whom he admires in the world of professional wrestling for one reason or the other. This also includes Jesse Ventura and they even had an interaction before RAW this week and now Punk has revealed details about their meeting.

Before the July 29 episode of WWE Raw, Triple H announced that Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura was in attendance at the event held at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The commentary team highlighted Ventura’s presence during the show, with Michael Cole offering a warm welcome. WWE’s social media channels also acknowledged Ventura’s appearance, celebrating his presence at the event.

Following his appearance, Jesse Ventura took to social media and tagged CM Punk and noted that it seemed “hell froze over again” with his unexpected comeback. It was apparent he was happy to see Punk in a big way.

While speaking on SI Media podcast, CM Punk shared how meeting Jesse Ventura was one of the highlights of his life. Punk described being completely amazed when Ventura mentioned seeing Punk’s return and commented that if Punk was back, he would consider returning as well.

“I saw Governor Ventura the other day,” Punk said. “Absolutely 100 percent blown away. One of the coolest things that’s ever happened to me in my life is he tells me that he saw I came back — and he said, ‘The place must have changed. If Punk’s back, I’ll go back.’”

Punk acknowledged that he can’t take credit for Ventura’s potential return to WWE but believes that his own return might have had a significant impact.

“I can’t take credit for it, but I think a guy like me being back I think speaks volumes,” Punk said. “Obviously it does.”

Jesse Ventura had already previously confirmed he was in talks with WWE for a return, so fans are glad to see it finally materialized. Regardless, we’ll have to see whether Ventura will make another appearance in WWE somewhere down the line.
