AEW and Warner Bros Discovery have partnered up since the company first broke onto the scene. Now, the two sides are in the middle of new television talks, which is why AEW has loaded up their recent television shows. Now they have crossed a very important threshold in those discussions.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that the exclusive negotiating window between All Elite Wrestling and Warner Bros. Discovery ended this week. While it’s unclear if a new deal has been reached, discussions have been ongoing over the past week.

Previously, it was reported that Tony Khan and David Zaslav were scheduled to meet in Paris during the Olympics. Sources from both Khan’s team and WBD have reportedly confirmed that this meeting is set for this weekend.

It was also reported from people on WBD’s side that there has been an ongoing dialogue between the two sides, with weekly discussions about synergy, co-promotion, and upcoming plans. We will have to see what they can work out, and whether it will include packaging AEW and ROH together, possibly also including MAX as a part of it all.

WBD and AEW have been “deep” into talks regarding a new deal since last year, which resulted in the creation of AEW Collision. MAX is reportedly considered in every deal they negotiate, so we will keep a very close eye on the situation.

You never know what can happen in the pro wrestling world, especially when big money deals are a part of the situation. Now, it appears that AEW is able to speak with more than just WBD. Only time will tell if that will lead to AEW finding a new broadcast home.

What’s your take on AEW and WBD’s ongoing television rights talks? Do you think that they will end up on MAX in the end and not TBS or TNT? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
