The Miz is definitely one of the most established and decorated WWE Superstars in the history of the company. In addition to winning several championships in the company, The Miz has seen great success outside the business but even he has admitted the fact that it is difficult to secure spots on Premium Live Events under Triple H’s leadership.

Triple H took over as the Head of Creative in WWE back in 2022 after Vince McMahon’s temporary retirement. Vince McMahon would then officially resign from WWE and TKO Holdings and even TKO COO Mark Shapiro made it clear that Vince McMahon will never return to WWE.

A lot has changed under Triple H’s leadership but it’s certain the business is truly booming now. While speaking on The Rich Eisen Show, The Miz talked about the current state of WWE under Triple H’s leadership. He credited Triple H with significantly boosting the company’s popularity, noting that this has led to a surge of exceptionally talented and popular stars. Miz highlighted that this influx has made it challenging for wrestlers to secure a spot on the Premium Live Event cards.

Miz emphasized that there are so many superstars who are “over” with the crowd—whether they are being booed or cheered—that it has become increasingly difficult to make it onto events like SummerSlam. He described the competitive nature of the roster and the challenge of getting a place on such high-profile cards.

“I’ve never seen so many superstars that we consider what we call ‘over.’ Which means when they come out into the crowd, the crowd goes ecstatic. It’s whether they’re booing them or cheering them; they’re highly engaged. And there are so many superstars right now that it’s hard to get on a SummerSlam card. Like, right now, getting on a PLE is very, very difficult.”

As for The Miz, he is set to be the host for SummerSlam this year. Regardless, with WWE’s emphasis on talent getting over and there being far more competition than ever before, it’s not hard to see why The Miz said it’s difficult to get booked on Premium Live Events now.
