The Pat McAfee Pack includes WWE RAW announcer Pat McAfee as a playable character in the game, along with his co-hosts from the Pat McAfee Show: AJ Hawk, Boston Conner, Darius Butler, and Ty Schmitt. This is a big moment for the crew, but some gamers are still unable to play as the popular podcast personalities.
Some fans have questioned why these personalities were chosen over other WWE stars. McAfee has been forced to defend this decision in recent memory. Ty Schmitt added to the controversy by saying that fans just want “some of these other losers no one’s ever heard of” in the game. He also mentioned that he’s not bothered by the criticism of the DLC pack.
WWE Games released a statement on Twitter to address an issue with the latest DLC pack. Apparently, nobody on PS5 can access the Pat McAfee Show crew. They are currently working to fix this issue, but no timeline was given for when it will be resolved.
“We’re aware the Pat McAfee Pack is not currently available on PS5. The team is investigating the issue and we’ll share an update as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience!”
The upcoming WWE 2K24 game is set to expand its roster with two exciting downloadable character packs. DLC 4, titled the “Global Superstars Pack,” will be released on September 18. This pack features a diverse lineup of wrestlers, including Jade Cargill, Nia Jax, Michelle McCool, Carlito, Kairi Sane, Lyra Valkyria, and Dragon Lee. Each of these superstars will bring unique styles and moves to the game, enhancing the overall experience for players.
Following this, DLC 5, known as the “WCW Pack,” will be available on November 13. This pack celebrates legendary wrestlers from the World Championship Wrestling era. It includes iconic figures such as Diamond Dallas Page, Iron Sheik, Mr. Perfect, Great Muta, and Lex Luger. Fans of classic wrestling will appreciate the addition of these renowned athletes, adding a nostalgic element to the game.
These new packs promise to enrich the WWE 2K24 gaming experience by offering a wider array of characters, each with their own distinct flair and history in the wrestling world.
