Seth Rollins Doesn’t Plan To Get Physically Involved in CM Punk & Drew McIntyre’s SummerSlam Match

The Visionary of WWE, Seth Rollins, has inserted himself into the ongoing feud between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk, taking on the role of special guest referee for their highly anticipated clash at WWE SummerSlam.

In a recent appearance on SportsCenter, Seth Rollins was asked if he could remain objective given the intense hostility. Rollins stated that he could because he had equal hate for both men and wanted to see them physically decimate each other at SummerSlam.

“I can because I hate them both equally. I want them both to suffer the exact same amount, so I’m gonna do my best to work that out. It’s gonna be up to them, who’s gonna pin, who’s gonna make who tap out. We’ll get to all that. I’m gonna make sure they beat the crap out of each other.”

When questioned about the likelihood of getting physically involved in the match, Seth Rollins expressed a desire to stay impartial. The former WWE Champion noted that his goal was to avoid interference, although he acknowledged the unpredictability of such matches. Rollins also shared his excitement about being a special guest referee for the first time.

“I hope not. The goal is not to be. You gotta understand, the reason I’m in this position is because neither Drew nor Punk could contain themselves in the lead-up to this. There was too much going on. No referee wanted to be a part of it. The match wasn’t gonna get sanctioned until I stepped in and said, ‘Hey, I can throw on the ref shirt. I can give it a shot.’ I’ve never done it. First time in my career. I’ve never at any level been a special guest referee, so I’m very excited to see what it’s gonna be like out there.”

The buildup to this match has been nearly six months in the making, characterized by numerous confrontations, verbal sparring, and heated exchanges between Punk and McIntyre. Although CM Punk has declared that he is not nervous about Seth Rollins being the referee, we will have to wait and see how his presence would influence the outcome of the highly anticipated showdown for SummerSlam.
