Roxanne Perez has been the NXT Women’s Champion for a few months now and she is clearly being booked well as the champion. She fears no one and that’s why she called out Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia after NXT this week.
After successfully defending her NXT Women’s Championship at the first week of the NXT Great American Bash, Roxanne Perez had a message for the entire locker room and a few individuals who aren’t there yet.
In a backstage interview shared by WWE on Twitter following her win over Thea Hail, Perez acknowledged Hail’s effort but asserted her dominance. She stated that while she respects Hail for her performance, everyone should stop focusing on competitors from elsewhere.
Perez emphasized that NXT boasts the top women’s division globally and claimed that holding the NXT Women’s Championship signifies her status as the best woman in the world, as she would go on to call out both Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia.
“I’ll give Thea her respect, because she almost had me there, but realistically, everybody needs to stop worrying about everybody else around the world. Not a Thea, not a Giulia, not a Stephanie.
“NXT is the best women’s division in the world, and this (NXT Women’s Championship) is on my shoulder, which means I am the best woman in the world.”
This isn’t the first time Roxanne Perez name-dropped Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer. Regardless, Giulia has already confirmed when she will be leaving Japan for WWE and Stephanie Vaquer is set to make her NXT television debut imminently as well, so we’ll have to see whether Perez will be able to handle both competitors in the future.
