Mercedes Mone Claims Credit for Photo of Tony Khan and Shane McMahon’s Meeting

Mercedes Mone’s arrival in AEW has significantly reshaped the promotion’s landscape and she is obviously part of many important meetings in AEW. In fact, she has taken credit for taking a photo of Tony Khan and Shane McMahon’s meeting recently.

Earlier this year, Mercedes Mone confirmed that she had met up with Shane McMahon recently while boarding their respective flights, but didn’t disclose what they talked about.

AEW CEO Tony Khan recently had a private meeting with Shane McMahon, leading to speculation about possible collaborations. The meeting occurred on Monday, July 29, 2024, at a private office in Arlington airport.

During their discussion, Khan and McMahon explored “possibilities moving forward.” This seems to be their first meeting, as Khan had expressed interest in speaking with McMahon before but had not had the chance. A photo of Tony Khan and Shane McMahon also made its way online for good measure.

Mercedes Mone took to Twitter and commented on Tony Khan and Shane McMahon’s meeting, as she claimed credit for taking the photo in the first place, making it clear she was with them at the time of the meeting.

WWE’s internal reaction to Tony Khan and Shane McMahon meeting was also revealed, as no one was surprised by this outcome. Regardless, it remains to be seen whether Khan and McMahon will end up working together this year.
