Mercedes Mone has become a prime fixture for Tony Khan’s AEW ever since her grand debut last March. In her very first match for the company, she won the TBS Championship from Willow Nightingale.

Subsequently, she defeated Stephanie Vaquer at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event to clinch the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship, becoming a double champion. Now, The CEO is set to make her first NJPW appearance since capturing their women’s title.

As announced by NJPW on their X, Mercedes Mone was announced to be part of their upcoming event, Capital Collision, set to take place August 30 at the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington, D.C. This will mark Mercedes Mone’s first NJPW appearance in over a year.

“For the first time in over a year, #njpwSTRONG Women’s Champion @mercedesvarnado will hit an NJPW ring in Washington DC! #njcapital TICKETS https://ticketmaster.com/event/150060C5E16B64AD…#njpw.”

However, before Mercedes Mone makes her appearance at Capital Collison, she is set for a huge match at AEW’s premier event, All In, taking place at Wembley Stadium on August 25. The CEO will defend her TBS championship against Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., at the show after Tony Khan made their match official following an altercation at the San Diego Comic-Con.

While it was mentioned that Mercedes would hit the ring at the event, we will have to wait and see if she would be scheduled for an in-ring encounter at the pay-per-view in Washington.
