Kurt Angle wrestled for WWE and TNA Wrestling for years, but those days in the ring are over now. The Olympic Hero is very happy with his current life, but he wouldn’t turn down a non-wrestling role at this point in his career if the money is there.

Years ago, Kurt Angle rejected an offer from WWE to be Matt Riddle’s manager. Instead, he was a special guest referee for a fight pit match. That was one of Angle’s final few appearances on WWE television, but the Hall of Famer still has a very stable bridge back to WWE.

During his Kurt Angle Show podcast, the Hall of Famer Kurt Angle commented on potentially making a non-wrestling WWE return under the Triple H regime after previously turning down offers:

“I’m happy doing what I’m doing. But would I consider managing? Yeah, it would have to be the right thing. It would have to be the right deal, the right program. Not only that, but the money has to be right.

“I will tell you this, I feel a little badly about doing this, but a few years ago, WWE wanted me to manage Matt Riddle. I was into it. I was like, okay, we could have some great vignettes. I think we would have had great chemistry, but it didn’t happen unfortunately because they didn’t offer me the right amount of money. The money they offered me was really not good. Not to say anything bad about the company, but it was like okay, that was kind of a kick to the nuts kind of an offer [laughs].”

WWE is going through a booming period in the company’s history, so the money isn’t the issue. Kurt Angle certainly seemed down to work with Matt Riddle, but they couldn’t come to a financial agreement. After all, Angle’s name has a value and he knows his worth. Matt Riddle never got Angle as his manager, and he was released year or so later after a long list of backstage infractions.

We will have to see what the future holds for Kurt Angle. He could make a return in a non-wrestling role, but that would entail the right spot for him and creative direction. It will also take the right amount of money for Angle to agree to make a return as well.

What’s your take on Kurt Angle having a role in WWE right now? Do you think he’d be worth a big investment to have him come in? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
