Bryan Keith first made a name for himself in Reality of Wrestling and Ring of Honor but would eventually sign with AEW after a few appearances. He was out of action due to injury and now it appears he has been cleared for a return.

Earlier this month, DEADLOCK Pro Wrestling announced that Bryan Keith had suffered an injury, prompting him to vacate the DPW National Championship. Naturally, this was a shock to many fans.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez talked about Bryan Keith’s injury and noted that his worked arm injury on AEW programming was intended to cover for a legitimate broken orbital bone.

Alvarez explained that Keith sustained the orbital bone injury during his match with Shibata, leading to a real absence of six to eight weeks and he confirmed that Keith has now been cleared for in-ring return.

“The answer is he actually was injured. Whenever he had that match with Shibata he broke his orbital bone. So he actually was out of action for six to eight weeks. Whatever injury he had on TV, that was a work, but he was actually legitimately injured because he had a broken orbital bone. He just got cleared.”

The orbital bone injury occurred during the Three-Way match involving HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata on the go-home edition of Dynamite before Double or Nothing. Regardless, Keith is now ready to get back into the thick of things, so we’ll have to see how he will continue to assist Chris Jericho and Big Bill in the coming weeks.

What do you think of Bryan Keith finally being cleared for in-ring action? Will he get a major role with Chris Jericho and Big Bill soon? Sound off in the comments section below!
