It’s Tuesday night and you know what that means! The NXT Great American Bash Week 1 episode of WWE NXT will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage for the July 30, 2024 episode.
WWE NXT will start this week at 8:00 PM EST as always, match-by-match highlights and results from the show will take place on this very page. Feel free to leave any reactions in the comment section below. You can check out the lineup below.
The show opens up with Hank & Tank (Hank Walker and Tank Ledger) acting like spies trying to break into the WWE Performance Center. Hank and Tank were acting extra suspicious with music in the background. Eventually, Hank and Tank found their way to the power box and they turned on the lights to the ringside area of the WWE Performance Center.
Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T then welcomes us to the show and we get separate shots of WWE NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez and The D’Angelo Family arriving at the Performance Center. WWE NXT North American Champion Oba Femi was then shown pulling up at the Performance Center in his SUV.
We then get the entrances of the first match of the night, which is a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match.
The match starts off with The Unholy Union blindsiding Legend and Jackson from behind as they were being introduced. Fyre and Dawn then send Legend crashing into the barricade before Fyre joins Jackson in the ring. Jackson then rolls up Fyre, but Fyre kicks out and tags in Dawn. Dawn then hits Jackson with a meteora, then tags Fyre back in. Fyre then delivers a right hand on Jackson’s head, then sends her crashing into the top turnbuckle and tags in Dawn. Dawn then wears down Jackson and tags Fyre back in. Fyre and Dawn then hit a double suplex on Jackson, but Legend nails Dawn with a pump kick and sends Fyre crashing out of the ring to join Dawn. Legend then holds the middle rope open as Jackson hits a tope suicida on The Unholy Union. Legend then tags in and nails Dawn with a chop. Legend then blasts Dawn, then hits her with a clothesline and nails Fyre using Dawn. Legend then hits a Fallaway Slam on Dawn and a backbreaker on Fyre. Legend then hits a chokeslam on Dawn and goes for a pin, but Dawn kicks out.
Fyre then hits a kick on Legend’s head from the apron while the referee is distracted, then tags in Dawn. Dawn then hits a backstabber on Legend and Fyre follows it up with a Swanton Bomb off the top rope. Jackson then hits a Sling Blade on Dawn on the outside, and Fyre hits a Tornado DDT on Legend out of the corner back in the ring. Legend then sends Fyre into the corner and delivers a shoulder on her midsection, then gets her in an Electric Chair position and tags in Jackson. Jackson then hits an assisted cutter on Fyre with Legend, but Dawn and Legend then brawl on the outside and Dawn hits a meteora on Legend off the apron. The Unholy Union then hits their finisher on Jackson for the win.

After the match, WWE NXT Champion “All Ego” Ethan Page’s music hits and he makes his way out. Page points out that Meta-Four came up short and tells Jackson and Legend to pay attention next week when Mensah challenges him for the WWE NXT Championship. Page then says there won’t be any lucky wins or accidental wins, then gives Mensah an up close look at his title. Page then looks to hit Mensah with the NXT Championship, but Mensah sees Page coming and rolls him up. Legend and Jackson then count to three.
We then get a video of Cedric Alexander giving some advice to some up and coming talents. Shawn Spears then walks in to make it clear that he doesn’t think Alexander’s advice is worth listening to and a verbal confrontation between Alexander and Spears ensues. Brooks Jensen then appears and gets in Alexander’s face before the challenge to a match later tonight is issued.
We then see Hank Walker holding a mic and interviewing No Quarter Catch Crew’s Tavion Heights about his upcoming match. Heights talks about his accolades which included competing in the last Olympics in Greco-Roman Wrestling. Heights says he also respects Tony D for being an amateur wrestling champion from the University of Buffalo. Hank then sends the show to Tank, who is interviewing “The Don Of NXT” Tony D’Angelo and the D’Angelo Family. Tony D says he respects what Heights does, but he brings it every night. Tank then sends the show to a commercial break.
We then get a video promo from “The Bruiserweight” Pete Dunne. Dunne says he’s seen it in the locker room for years, where people are trying to figure things out. Dunne then says he’s YxB, Young and Bitter. Dunne then says when he turned to someone for the first time in his life, he got stuck with a terrible nickname, Butch. Dunne then says he was front row to the Sheamus show. Dunne then talks about Sheamus, Ridge Holland and Tyler Bate all leaving him. Dunne then says none of them are like him and neither is Trick. Dunne then talks about getting robbed on a bus once in England on the way to a show. Dunne then says no one stuck up for him. Dunne then says he pulled himself up and handled business. Dunne then praises Trick for his recent success. Dunne then says you think a man like that can trust their own instincts rather than come to him for help. Dunne then says next week he’ll help Trick figure it out.
Trick Williams was then shown watching the promo on a monitor. Trick says forget about “Whoop dat trick” because next week Trick is going to whoop dat ass.
We then get the entrances of the next match, which is a WWE NXT Heritage Cup Championship Match.
The match starts off with both men locking up. Both men then wears each other down and pins each other, but Heights hits an arm drag on D’Angelo. D’Angelo then tackles Heights and sends him crashing into the mat, then hits a shoulder tackle on him and wears him down with a submission hold. D’Angelo then hits a second shoulder tackle on Heights and wears him down with another submission, but Heights puts D’Angelo in a side headlock. D’Angelo then puts a knee bar on Heights as the first round ends. Before round two begins, Wren Sinclair appears in the crowd to cheer Heights on. Round two then ends as D’Angelo hits Heights with a superplex.
Round three then begins and Heights looks to send D’Angelo crashing into the mat. D’Angelo then counters into a crossbody, then hits a T-Bone suplex on Heights and pins him to score a fall. Myles Borne then looks to hype Heights up heading into round four, but Sinclair slides in the ring and gets him fired up. Round four then begins and Heights nails D’Angelo with a clothesline. Heights then hits a sling blade and a suplex to score a fall. Borne and Charlie Dempsey then argue on the outside with Sinclair as round five begins. D’Angelo then goes after Heights, but Heights gets him on his shoulders and sends him crashing into the mat with a Military Press. Heights then sends D’Angelo crashing into the mat with a T-Bone suplex and pins him, but D’Angelo kicks out. Heights then hits a belly-to-belly suplex on D’Angelo and pins him, but D’Angelo kicks out and sends Heights crashing into the ring ropes. D’Angelo then hits a couple of right hands on Heights and sends Heights crashing into the mat before hitting a couple of spinebusters for the win.

Social media clips were then shown of Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, Jasmyn Nyx, Sol Ruca, Karmen Petrovic and Lola Vice to set up their upcoming match.
Brooks Jensen then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night. Cedric Alexander makes his way down to the ring next.
The match starts off with Alexander hitting a hurricanrana on Jensen. Alexander then hits a missile dropkick off the middle rope on Jensen, then follows it up with a tope suicida on him on the outside. Jensen then nails Alexander as he is draped through the middle rope, then delivers some right hands on him as Shawn Spears emerges. Jensen then gets Alexander on one shoulder and sends him crashing into the corner, then drapes him off the top turnbuckle by his knees and charges at him. Jensen then goes for a pin, but Alexander kicks out. Jensen then wears Alexander down with a submission hold, but Alexander responds with a jawbreaker and a forearm. Alexander then follows it up with a German suplex and a right hand, then hits Jensen with a missile dropkick and a Michinoku Driver. Alexander then goes for a pin, but Jensen kicks out. Alexander and Jensen then teeter on the ropes before Jensen pushes Alexander off them and hits a leg drop on him. Jensen then goes for a pin, but Alexander kicks out. Jensen then becomes frustrated and sends Alexander crashing into the announce desk midsection first on the outside. Jensen then looks to fly off the apron to send Alexander through the table, but Alexander moves out of the way and Jensen is sent crashing into the side of the announce desk. Alexander then gets Jensen back in the ring and hits the Lumbar Check on Jensen for the win as a disappointed Spears looks on.

We then get a video of “The Young OG” Je’Von Evans, who recounts his fond memories of watching professional wrestling with his parents. Evans says watching wrestling made the anger he had from his parents divorce go away and recalls pretending to be other wrestlers like Jeff Hardy and D-Generation X.
Joe Hendry was shown backstage having a conversation with a few developmental talents about his upcoming concert. After Hendry leaves, Ashante “Thee” Adonis escorts the women to go watch Hendry’s concert.
We then head to The Rascalz’s treehouse. Wes Lee jokes that it’s odd to have this on Tuesday instead of Thursday on Impact. Wentz then says the Treehouse can happen anywhere and anytime. Trey then confuses Wes with technobabble and says it’s magic. Wes then says the Rascalz are magical as hell. Wes then says they can’t smoke here because WWE is PG. Wentz then says MSK is one of the best tag teams in NXT. Wes then says they never lost the tag team titles. Trey then says Wentz pinned Axiom. Wentz then says that proves they deserve a tag title shot to defend in two companies. Wes then says he’ll dial up Axiom now. The Rascalz then put their hands on the camera.
We then see that Joe Hendry is already waiting inside the ring for his live concert.
Joe Hendry starts off by saying if you say his name, then he appears and welcomes fans to his first ever concert in WWE. Hendry then says he can feel the buzz in the air and knew he had to create something special because the world believes in him. Hendry then begins playing the guitar and singing a song in which he says he’s made things better in NXT, Triple H and Shawn Michaels summoned him and Booker T is the president of his fan club. Hendry then sings about hating Gallus, their awful facial hair and them being sent back to Scotland because of it. Hendry then suggests performing an encore and fans agree with him. Hendry then looks to start playing it, but Gallus’ music hits and they make their way out. Joe Coffey says there won’t be an encore and someone will pay if he hears Hendry’s song one more time. Gallus then gets inside the ring and tells Hendry to come and get some if he wants it. Hendry then nails Joe Coffey, but Mark Coffey and Wolfgang attacks Hendry. Joe Coffey then grabs Hendry’s guitar and hits him with it. Gallus then stands tall to end the segment.
We then see Hank and Tank run into WWE NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez backstage and praise her for being a history maker and a record breaker. Perez says she likes the respect. Hank then says it is time for Tank to break the world record of putting post-it notes on his face. Perez then calls them annoying. Jaida Parker then walks by and says Perez might not have a championship at the end of the night.
We then head to the back, where NXT General Manager Ava is moderating a contract signing between WWE NXT Champion Ethan Page and Oro Mensah. Both men are bickering in her office. Ava then shuts them up and tells them to take turns. Oro talks about Page taking out his main man Noam Dar. Oro then mocks Page for getting pinned yet again. Page then says none of that matters because Oro will never be champion. Page then signs the contract. Oro then says Page better watch out because the title is going to go around the main man Oro Mensah’s waist in the end.
Kendal Grey and Carlee Bright then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night. OTM’s Jaida Parker then makes her way down to the ring next.
The match starts off with Parker hitting a knee on Grey’s midsection, but Grey responds with a crossbody on Parker off the middle rope and wears her arm down with a submission hold. Parker then drapes Grey across the top rope and delivers a few strikes on her, then drags her back into the ring and sends her crashing into the top turnbuckle face first. Parker then hits a suplex on Grey and goes for a couple of pins. Grey then kicks out of both pins and Parker wears Grey down with a submission. Grey then hits a couple of back elbows on Parker as Myles Borne and Wren Sinclair appear at ringside still arguing. They then get in each other’s faces, but Grey hits Borne with a suplex. Grey then hits one on Parker back in the ring and pins her, but Parker kicks out and hits a backbreaker on Grey. Parker then drapes Grey across the middle turnbuckle and sends her crashing into the mat, then runs the ropes and hits her with a Hip Attack for the win.

Chase U’s Thea Hail was then shown warming up in the locker room. Ridge Holland is with Hail and thanks her for the nice words she said about him last week. Ridge then wishes Hail luck in her title match later. Ridge then says nobody will be throwing in the towel this time. Riley Osborne, Duke Hudson and Andre Chase then show up. Ridge then tells Hail to win the title by any means possible. Chase then gets nervous with that last line.
We then see Axiom talking to Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde in Spanish. Nathan Frazer then shows up and wonders what they were talking about. Axiom says they were talking about an upcoming WWE Speed Match. Robert Stone and Stevie Turner then shows up and tells Frazer that Axiom accepted a title defense against MSK. Frazer then signs it and looks confused. Frazer then argues with Axiom about accepting tag team challenges without him around.
Jacy Jayne, Jazmyn Nyx and Fallon Henley then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night. Lola Vice, Karmen Petrovic and Sol Ruca then make their way down to the ring next.
The match starts off with Ruca and Henley. Henley hits a back elbow on Ruca and trips her, then mocks her by surfing on her spine. Ruca then hits Henley with a facebuster and surfs on her spine, then tags in Petrovic. Petrovic then hits a kick on Henley’s midsection as Ruca holds her in place, but Nyx tags in and Petrovic hits a couple of kicks on her spine and her chest. Petrovic then hits a Blockbuster on Nyx and goes for a pin, but Nyx kicks out. Petrovic then hits a kick on Nyx’s face, then sends her into the corner and hits a boot on her head. Vice and Jayne then tag in and Jayne rolls up Vice. Vice then kicks out and exchanges chops with Jayne, then sends her crashing into the mat and goes for a pin, but Jayne kicks out. Petrovic then tags back in and double teams Jayne with Vice. Henley then tags back in and looks to hit a double suplex on Petrovic, but Ruca provides a hand to Petrovic and double teams with her on Jayne and Nyx. Henley then gets in the ring, but Vice takes her down. Ruca then hits a moonsault off the ropes to the outside on Jayne, Nyx and Henley.
Nyx then nails Petrovic and sends her into the corner. Jayne and Vice then tag in and Vice nails Henley with her signature rapid fire kicks. Vice then takes Henley and Nyx down before Ruca and Petrovic help her out. Vice, Ruca and Petrovic then hit a triple Hip Attack on Henley, Jayne and Nyx and Ruca hits a powerbomb on Henley. Ruca then looks to tag out, but Nyx and Jayne pull Petrovic and Vice off the apron before she can. Nyx ten tags in and Jayne hits a neckbreaker on Ruca off the ropes. Nyx then sends Ruca crashing into the mat. Nyx then hits a couple of kicks on Ruca, but Ruca responds with a few kicks of her own. Nyx then hits an enzuigiri on Ruca and Petrovic tags in. Petrovic then delivers some kicks on Nyx’s midsection and thigh, then hits a Bulldog on her. Nyx then hits the Pele Kick on Petrovic, then tags in Jayne. Jayne then tags out to Henley, then hits a forearm on Petrovic. Henley then sends Petrovic crashing into the mat and pins her for the win as Jayne keeps Vice from breaking up the fall.

We then head to the back, where Tatum Paxley runs into WWE NXT Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan and asks Jordan if she wanted to play dollhouse with her. Jordan says she didn’t want to play dolls. Paxley then asks if they can play with the North American Championship. Jordan then says she doesn’t play when it comes to the title. Tatum then says she doesn’t play when it comes to the title either. After Tatum leaves, Jordan starts to play with the dollhouse a bit, but was freaked out because Wendy Choo was staring at her the whole time.
We then see separate shots of Thea Hail and WWE NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez as they were heading to the ring.
Joe Hendry was then interviewed in the parking lot about his concert being crashed. Hendry talks about how this was supposed to be a milestone in his career and Gallus had to ruin it. Hendry then says Gallus is driven by jealousy and Joe Coffey is at the wheel. Hendry then says he proved he can hang in NXT. Hendry then hypes up how he is going to force Joe Coffey to believe in him next week.
The line-up for next week’s NXT Great American Bash Week 2 is then announced.
We then get the entrances of the main event, which is a WWE NXT Women’s Championship Match.
The match starts off with Hail offering her hand to Perez. Perez kicks it away and both women take turns in pinning each other. Perez then hits a boot on Hail’s midsection, but Hail responds with an arm drag and a suplex on Perez. Hail then hits a moonsault off the middle rope on Perez on the outside. Hail then rolls up Perez, but Perez kicks out. Perez. then berates Hail and shoves her head, but Hail delivers some forearms on Perez and nails her with a couple of back elbows. Hail then sends Perez crashing into the mat and hits a slam, then follows it up with a senton and looks to hit a springboard senton. Perez then avoids it and puts Hail in a crossface, but Hail rolls under the bottom rope to break the hold.
Perez then hits a tope suicida on Hail on the outside, then sends her back in the ring and gets into the rest of Chase U’s faces. Hail then blindsides Perez with a tope suicida, then sends her back inside the ring and climbs to the top rope. Hail then hits a crossbody on Perez and follows it up with a Michinoku Driver before going for a pin. Perez then kicks out and hits a boot on Hail’s midsection and sets up for Pop Rox, but Hail avoids the hold and cinches in a Kimura Lock. Perez then counters into a crossface, but Hail cinches in a second Kimura Lock. Perez then locks in yet another crossface, but Hail powers up to her feet and gets Perez up on her shoulders. Hail then sends Perez crashing into the mat and hits her with a springboard senton, then goes for a pin but Perez kicks out. Hail then drags Perez back into the ring from under the bottom rope, but Perez grabs the ring apron. The referee then fixes it and Perez rakes Hail’s eyes while he’s looking away. Hail then manages to send Perez crashing into the ring post shoulder first and cinches in the Kimura Lock, but Perez rolls under the bottom rope to break the hold. Perez then sends Hail crashing into the ring steps twice on the outside, then sends her back inside the ring and locks in a crossface. Hail then counters into a pin, but Perez kicks out. Hail then cinches in another Kimura Lock, but Perez counters into another crossface. Hail then looks to crawl over to the bottom rope, but Perez drags her away from it. Perez then hits the Pop Rox on Hail for the win.

After the match, Perez celebrates and stands tall as the show comes to a close.
