Thea Hail is one of the most dynamic and upcoming WWE superstars of their developmental brand, NXT. She signed with the Black and Gold brand back in 2022 and recently revealed an AEW star’s significant role that led to her hiring.

During a recent interview with Pittsburgh City Paper, Thea Hail member revealed that the popular AEW star Thunder Rosa paved the way for her WWE signing. Before signing with WWE, Thea wrestled for their rival promotion, AEW, in 2021.

The Chase U member stated that she ended up getting a dark match in AEW with Thunder Rosa after a seminar with QT Marshall. It was after their explosive bout that Rosa got her in touch with a recruiter from WWE.

“I ended up landing a dark [non-televised] match for AEW after having a seminar with QT Marshall, and I wrestled Thunder Rosa, and she got me in contact with a recruiter from WWE.”

Thea Hail has certainly come a long way in the last two years, becoming a popular star on the NXT roster. She is now gearing up for a huge opportunity at the upcoming two-week special, NXT Great American Bash, where she is slated to battle Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship.

So we will have to wait and see if Thea Hail could finally clinch her first title and etch her first major accolade since signing with WWE.
