After their impressive victory last week on NXT, the dynamic duo from Meta-Four, Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend issued a Women’s tag team title match challenge to the reigning title holders, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn.

The champions accepted the challenge for their first title defence, and the match was set to take place on Week 1 of the NXT Great American Bash. Isla and Alba, former products of the NXT regime, came back to the Black and Gold brand for a huge fight night.

On the other hand, Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson were ready for perhaps their biggest opportunity to date in WWE NXT and assert their claim of being the brightest stars in the galaxy.

The tag team action unfolded in the WWE Performance Center, with both teams going back and forth with so much at stake. The Unholy Union showed their mean streak right from the start, proving dominance. But Lash and Jakara showed resilience, putting up a great performance in the night’s opening contest, going all over ringside.

The highly enthralling bout came down to its final moments, where Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn executed a devastating double-team drop on Jakara Jackson to score the pinfall and retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles, moving to SmackDown, where they would battle the former champions, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair.
