Kenny Omega’s highly anticipated tag team partnership with Chris Jericho for the AEW World Tag Team Championships faced a setback due to Omega’s battle with diverticulitis, a serious medical condition that required urgent surgery. While Omega is currently sidelined, Gabe Kidd challenged him to a match. Omega has now disclosed the conditions for this match to take place.

Kenny Omega was written off AEW television after the May 1st of AEW Dynamite, as The Elite brutalized The Best Bout Machine. Omega would then undergo surgery for his condition and is currently on the road to recovery.

In recent weeks, NJPW star Gabe Kidd has gained prominence for his outspoken nature and heel antics. After all, he called out MJF multiple times in the past few weeks and threatened to kill him.

Gabe Kidd recently took to Twitter and called out Kenny Omega, making it clear he wants a piece of the former AEW World Champion. Kenny Omega responded to Gabe Kidd, reminding him that he works for AEW and is accustomed to dealing with people like Kidd, whom he describes as delusional psychopaths.

Omega suggested that if Kidd manages to win the G1 Climax tournament, he might consider offering him the “Kenny Omega touch,” the same touch that helped secure the top NJPW talent in the US.

”You must have forgotten that I work for AEW. Most of our roster are delusional psychopaths like you so I’m kinda used to the schtick. Tell you what, brah – Go win that G1 and maybe I’ll think about gifting you with the “Kenny Omega touch”. The same one that scored all your top talent that bag here in the US. Good Luck.”

We have also reported on the steps Kenny Omega needs to take to eventually make his in-ring return. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether Omega will eventually square of against Gabe Kidd, as fans would definitely like that match.
