In professional wrestling, the phrase ‘never say never’ often proves true, as wrestlers whom fans believed would never make a comeback to WWE frequently do just that. A notable example is Jesse Ventura, who made an unexpected appearance backstage at RAW this week. Following his visit, he has now broken his silence on the matter.
Before the July 29th episode of WWE Raw, Triple H announced that Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura was present at the event, which took place at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The commentary team made a point to mention Ventura’s attendance during the show, with Michael Cole extending a warm welcome to him. WWE’s social media also echoed this sentiment.
Jesse Ventura confirmed his return via Twitter, expressing his gratitude to Triple H and the WWE family. In his post, Ventura tagged CM Punk and noted that it seemed “hell froze over again” with his unexpected comeback. He also shared a photo of himself with CM Punk from his backstage visit.
”Yes, it’s true. The Body is back home. Thank you @TripleH and the whole @WWE family. @CMPunk looks like hell froze over… again.
Why did I come back? For moments like these… @WWE @CMPunk”
Jesse Ventura had already previously confirmed he was in talks with WWE for a return, so fans are glad to see it finally materialized. Regardless, we’ll have to see whether Ventura will make another appearance in WWE somewhere down the line.
