Val Venis has been quite open about his right-wing views, with his criticism of pronouns escalating into anti-trans posts. Recently, a fan tried to secure the trademark for Venis’ name, which had expired. Now, the fan has started a GoFundMe campaign to help secure the trademark.
The trademark issue started when a Twitter user named HaangEmHigh saw that the trademark for “Val Venis” had been abandoned and registered it. They created a website called ‘ValVenis.com’ that supports LGBTQ rights, especially trans rights, and uses transgender pride colors. This seems to be part of their plan to keep the trademark and use the name for advocacy.
They are also working with other Twitter users and selling custom stickers with transgender colors under the “Val Venis” name. This effort is clearly aimed at supporting trans rights and LGBTQ causes, something that Val Venis is not a fan of whatsoever.
In order to help secure the trademark, HaangEmHigh took to Twitter and announced that he has set up a GoFundMe campaign in order to do something positive with the ‘Val Venis’ name. Currently, the campaign has a goal of €875 and has reached €83 at the time of writing.
”Sup, my name is Thevy and I wanna own the ‘Val Venis’, well not just own it just to own it but–yeah I want to do something cool and positive with it.”
Val Venis also claimed that he has been receiving death threats while the LGBTQ controversy continues. Regardless, we’ll have to see whether the Twitter user will be successful in his endeavor to trademark the ‘Val Venis’ name when all is said and done.
