Val Venis, known for his outspoken right-wing beliefs and controversial statements, has recently found himself embroiled in a trademark dispute while also claiming to have received death threats for his views. Venis, who has been vocal about his stance against transgender rights, harshly criticized Cody Rhodes earlier this year, labeling him a “Satan worshipper” for supporting such causes. Venis urged Rhodes to cease promoting what he described as “mental disorders.”

The trademark dispute began when a Twitter user named HaangEmHigh noticed that the trademark for “Val Venis” had been abandoned and attempted registered it. They launched a website called ‘ValVenis.com,’ which advocates for LGBTQ rights, particularly trans rights, and prominently features the transgender pride colors. This initiative appears to be part of a broader effort to secure the trademark and repurpose the name for advocacy.

The group has also started collaborating with other Twitter users and is selling custom stickers under the “Val Venis” name, all themed with transgender colors. This deliberate effort clearly aims to use the Val Venis name to support trans rights and LGBTQ causes.

In response to these developments, Val Venis took to Twitter to share that he has been receiving threats for nearly five years. He described those issuing threats as “leftist, pedophile-supporting, mental illness-affirming, Godless nutjobs,” accusing them of acting tough online. Venis claims these individuals have threatened to protest at his events, spit in his face, assault him, and even kill him. However, he asserts that none of these threats have been acted upon, calling the individuals “cowards.”

“The leftist pedophile supporting, mental illness affirming, Godless nutjobs always act tough on social media. They have threatened to show up at events I’ve been booked at to protest, spit in my face, beat me up, and even threatened to k*ll me. This crap has been going on for almost 5 years. Not one time has any one of these musty basement dwellers made good on their threats. They are cowards.”

It remains unclear whether the threats Venis mentions are credible or if his claims are exaggerated. Nevertheless, Venis continues to be a polarizing figure, unafraid to express his contentious opinions publicly. As the trademark dispute unfolds, it will be interesting to see how the situation develops and whether Venis retains any rights to his former wrestling persona.
