This week’s episode of WWE RAW will air on Syfy because the Olympics have moved the red brand off the USA Network. Although on a different television channel, WWE is planning a significant show for their SummerSlam go-home episode.
PW Insider reports that Cruz Del Toro is set to return to the ring from his arm injury tonight. Del Toro will participate in tag team action during the WWE Main Event taping before Monday Night Raw goes live from Cleveland on Syfy.
This match will be his first since WrestleMania weekend, where he competed in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in Philadelphia. After the event, he underwent surgery in Birmingham, Alabama.
Although Cruz Del Toro is not booked for a SummerSlam match, returning before a big premium live event is always a good sign. WWE often plans their next set of stories, and Del Toro and the LWO may have something interesting lined up after the biggest party of the summer.
We previously reported that Cruz Del Toro was in town for WWE RAW this week. It appears that he will be rejoining the LWO stable as well. Keep checking back with Ringside News for more updates if they are made available.
