Earlier this year, the unexpected releases of several superstars from the AEW roster shocked quite a few fans for good reason. This included Jose the Assistant and now it appears he has teased making his way to WWE.

During his tenure with Tony Khan’s promotion, Jose the Assistant managed La Facción Ingobernable and collaborated with talents like Andrade and Rush. Despite being with the company since 2021, he was released in April this year.

While navigating his free agency, Jose the Assistant took to Twitter with a cryptic message suggesting that a new opportunity was imminent. His post included a play on words, pointing out the letters N, X, and T in capital letters, which many interpreted as a hint at a potential move to WWE’s NXT brand.

“Time tick tick tick tick tick tick ticks away, but it only brings once one, step, closer to what is NeXT. I can wait, but how soon is SOON?”

With Stephanie Vaquer having already made her in-ring debut in WWE this month, perhaps fans might get to see Jose the Assistant being paired up with Vaquer, serving as her manager. Regardless, we will have to wait and see what the future holds for the former AEW star.
