Paul Heyman has been a part of many moments in pro wrestling history. He likely still has several mementos from his Hall of Fame career, as he even helps those in NXT. He was willing to part with one treasured item for a good purpose.

Paul Heyman recently shared that in preparation for the WWE Hall of Fame exhibit in Philadelphia and the upcoming A&E Biography episode, he searched through old boxes to find rare and unique items. Despite being pressed for time, he discovered a memorable piece from 1983.

Shortly before his death, The Grand Wizard handed Heyman his iconic “Wizard” glasses at Madison Square Garden. He said, “One day, young man, you’ll look at these and laugh.” Heyman expressed his pleasure in sharing this treasured item with fans. He explained this through a post on social media.

“Both in prep for the WWE Hall of Fame exhibit in Philadelphia on WrestleMania weekend, and also looking for items in advance of tonight’s A&E Biography, I went through a whole bunch of old boxes looking for rare, unique items that would make people exclaim, ‘WOW’ or ‘OMG! Look at that!'”

“I didn’t really have the time before ‘Mania nor while shooting this doc, but …”

“From 1983, shortly before his death, The Grand Wizard (Ernie Roth) turned to me in Madison Square Garden and handed me his ‘Wizard’ glasses. ‘One day, young man, you’ll look at these and laugh.'”

“After all these years, it’s my pleasure to share this with you …”

“Here’s a funny one for ya …”

“When WWE did the “Ladies and Gentlemen, My Name is Paul Heyman” bio ten years ago, I searched and searched and searched for this Sunday Newspaper – Magazine from 1988, and could never find it.”

Looked for it again (for Hall of Fame exhibit in Philly, for tonight’s A&E bio), could not find it …”

Heyman dropped a second post that included an unforgettable photo of Steve Austin during his ECW run, as he cut a hilarious and vicious promo on WCW. He pulled out some bongo drums during that segment, which Heyman still has possession of as well.

“… and then there was this box in the corner that had a stack of my hand-written ECW show notes. Edits that would be necessary; music video ideas; talent that’s probably still waiting for their call back “in 5 minutes”; voiceover notes for Joey Styles; ideas for upcoming storylines; ECW Arena cards written on the way to the arena the day of the show; and they’re all sitting on top of a very special pair of bongos …”

We will have to see when Paul Heyman makes his way back to WWE television. It is nice to hear from him. He was ejected from The Bloodline after he refused to acknowledge Solo Sikoa as his tribal chief. That caused the faction to turn on Heyman and send him through an announce table at ringside.

Heyman will likely be back on television alongside Roman Reigns. Jimmy Uso has a high probability of being alongside them if his injury has cleared up in time. Either way, the Bloodline saga will continue, and it will also probably leave Heyman with a few more souvenirs to hold onto along the way.
