Enzo Amore worked hard to make himself a mainstay during his time in WWE, where he teamed up with Big Cass. Both of them were released by the company and are now stars in their own right. With that said, Amore has now claimed that a promo segment with The Rock is inevitable.

In January 2018, Enzo Amore was abruptly fired from WWE while he was in his second reign as Cruiserweight Champion, following sexual assault allegations. The case was later closed due to insufficient evidence. Since then, the 37-year-old star has competed for promotions such as NJPW and MLW.

Several years have passed since Enzo Amore was fired by WWE due to allegations of sexual assault. Since his release, Amore has been actively competing on the independent circuit and has been earning substantial money.

While speaking with Wrestling Shoot Interviews, Enzo Amore claimed that a promo segment featuring him and The Rock is inevitable. Amore, who has long admired The Rock, shared that he has dreamed of this moment since childhood. He recounted a memorable backstage encounter with The Rock, where he presented a photo of himself holding The Rock’s action figure from when he was a child. The Rock shared this moment on Instagram, which Amore found particularly special.

Amore views a potential promo segment with The Rock as a fulfillment of his childhood dreams. He sees himself as a top competitor in wrestling, aspiring to reach the pinnacle of the industry. Amore mentioned that if he were a current WWE wrestler, he would be someone to watch out for, noting his relentless work ethic on the indie circuit and his commitment to the craft. He stated that his presence would bring significant change and excitement, emphasizing his determination to make a major impact in the wrestling world.

“It’s the inevitable one day, that I’m the greatest promo of my generation, and I’m out there with the greatest promo of his generation, The Rock. How does this not happen? For me, it’s a manifestation of my childhood dreams. I have a picture of me [when I] met Dwayne Johnson backstage, of me holding his action figure on Christmas morning. When I met Dwayne Johnson backstage, I showed it to him, and he posted a picture of us on his Instagram, and that was really cool. But that was my hero when I was a kid. The whole goal is to have your idols become your rivals.

So if I look at the top of the business, this where I see myself. That’s where I want to be, and I’m gunning for somebody’s spot. If you’re in the WWE right now and you know that I’m out here working as hard as I am on the indies, wrestling every single weekend, shaking hands and kissing babies and doing all the right things, I would be f***** so fearful of the man who has to stand in front of me. I’m the guy that you have to fear. I’m the one that you’re not thinking about right now. When I show up, s*** is going to hit the fan. Because any man can piss on the floor. It takes a great man to s*** on the ceiling.”

Enzo Amore also made it clear he wants his contributions to be acknowledged by WWE. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether Enzo Amore and The Rock will ever share a promo segment together, as anything is possible in the world of professional wrestling.
