Charlotte Flair sustained a knee injury on the December 8th, 2023, episode of Friday Night SmackDown and promptly underwent surgery. While she remains absent from WWE television, Flair’s current recovery timeline has now been revealed.

Charlotte Flair provided an injury rehab update, sharing that she was already back in the gym just 14 days after undergoing surgery. In the months since, Flair has shown incredible progress in her rehabilitation, as she gets better every day.

The Queen of WWE would then share that she was surpassing the expected timeline for her knee rehabilitation post-surgery and she was even training at the Performance Center already. However, fans who thought she would come back by now have been disappointed by her absence.

While speaking on Fightful Select’s Backstage Report podcast, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about Charlotte Flair’s current recovery timeline. Sapp stated that Flair tore three ligaments in her knee about eight months ago, and that there are often unrealistic expectations placed on pro wrestlers with severe knee injuries. Given the seriousness of Flair’s injury, it’s anticipated that she may be out for an additional two to three months.

“The tore about three ligaments in her knee eight months ago. A lot of people put unrealistic expectations on pro wrestlers with serve knee injuries and Charlotte had a serve knee injury. Would expect her to be out two or three more months.”

In the meantime, Charlotte Flair is starring in a horror/thriller movie titled ‘You Lose You Die,’ so fans can look forward to that while she remains absent from in-ring competition. Regardless, we’ll have to see how Flair will be booked upon her return, as there is a lot of anticipation for her in-ring comeback.
