MJF Set for American Title Defense Outside of AEW

Earlier this year, MJF embraced his heel persona and has since been unstoppable, culminating in his recent win of the AEW International Title. He is now confirmed to defend his title in a RevPro match soon.

MJF recently introduced the AEW American Championship as he discarded the International Championship, making it clear that he believes he is a true American hero, unlike Will Ospreay.

Revolution Pro Wrestling took to Twitter and uploaded a video featuring MJF, where the Salt of the Earth insulted British professional wrestlers and Britain in general, especially targeting Michael Oku. MJF pointed out how Oku is good friends with Will Ospreay, so Oku is simply scum of the earth.

The Salt of the Earth then confirmed that he will be defending the AEW American Championship against Michael Oku on August 11th at the York Hall in Bethnal Green, London in RevPro’s Summer Sizzle event.

Before that, MJF is set to defend his title against Templario at the CMLL Viernes Espectacular event on August 2nd. Regardless, MJF is definitely going to be busy as the AEW American Champion in the coming months and fans wouldn’t want it any other way, so we’ll have to see how he will fare in the upcoming matches in the coming weeks.
