Bryan Danielson, one of AEW’s most respected talents, is approaching the end of his full-time wrestling career.

In a recent interview aired on AEW’s YouTube channel, Danielson revealed that AEW doctor Doc Sampson advised him against wrestling until AEW All In. According to Fightful Select‘s Sean Ross Sapp, this advice was not part of a storyline but a genuine medical restriction due to concerns about Danielson’s health.

AEW sources confirmed that Danielson has been dealing with physical issues, which is expected given his long and intense career. The plan has always been to feature him in the main event of AEW All In, but these health concerns have led to modifications in his involvement in certain events leading up to it.

Danielson’s current talent contract is set to expire on August 1. However, there are plans for him to continue with AEW for several dates beyond that, including his participation in All In. It is anticipated that he will transition to a part-time in-ring role, or possibly step back from active competition altogether, after his current run concludes.

Despite the challenges, Danielson remains highly regarded within AEW, both as an in-ring performer and as a contributor to creative decisions. His presence backstage is valued, and his experience continues to be a significant asset to the company.

As Danielson approaches this transitional phase in his career, fans and colleagues alike appreciate his contributions and look forward to whatever role he takes on next within AEW.
