Drew McIntyre has been on a dominant run for the past few months, and his feud with CM Punk continues to heat up, with both wrestlers exchanging insults and delivering brutal attacks. Despite McIntyre’s impressive performance, some believe that CM Punk holds more value to WWE than McIntyre does.

During his ongoing feud with CM Punk, Drew McIntyre has frequently talked about Punk’s contentious past, including his tumultuous stint in AEW. As their rivalry intensified, Punk revealed on the July 22nd episode of WWE Raw that he had been medically cleared to compete, paving the way for their anticipated match at WWE SummerSlam.

It was reported that CM Punk and WWE are currently in talks about a new contract, with WWE initiating the negotiations. The motivation for a new deal, despite having an existing one, is driven by the shifting dynamics in the wrestling industry.

While speaking on Story Time with Dutch Mantell, the former WWE manager stated that he believes that CM Punk is better on the microphone than Drew McIntyre, making him more valuable and having more worth than the Scottish Warrior.

“See, CM Punk can talk. I don’t think he (Drew McIntyre) can talk like CM Punk can. He goes out and talks to them and, you know, see, I’m not the big Cody Rhodes fan that everybody else is. What do you want to talk about? That’s over. But, I think he’s probably worth more than Drew a little bit.”

Drew McIntyre also recently linked up with Jack Perry to get under CM Punk’s skin. Regardless, we will have to wait and see if Punk will be able to beat McIntyre at SummerSlam, as there is no doubt that both Superstars are valuable to the company.
