Wrestling Promotions Eye Las Vegas Sphere for Future Events

The world of professional wrestling is an ever-changing landscape where innovation remains at an all-time high no matter what, especially now that both WWE and AEW are firing on all cylinders. Interestingly enough, the likelihood of a pro wrestling event taking place in the Las Vegas Sphere has been revealed.

The Sphere, which can accommodate up to 18,600 people, has primarily been utilized for concerts. It also features “The Sphere Experience,” a film directed by Darren Aronofsky that shows off the venue’s technological advancements.

Fightful Select reports that wrestling could potentially come to the Sphere in Las Vegas. Since the Sphere opened in September 2023, its innovative design has attracted significant attention and prompted discussions about hosting wrestling events.

Sources connected to the venue indicate that wrestling companies have inquired about holding shows at the Sphere, but not before 2025. AEW’s Double or Nothing in 2024 was initially planned for another venue in Las Vegas, but with WrestleMania 41 set to take place in the city, there’s a strong possibility it may not be held there. While inquiries have been made, there are no concrete plans yet.

The likelihood of a pro wrestling event taking place in the Las Vegas Sphere is certainly a huge topic of discussion, as many fans feel WWE could definitely make the most use of its technological advancements.
