AEW has seen a ton of growth since its inception in 2019, with the likes of AEW All In standing out in a big way. In light of rumors of AEW holding a stadium show in the US, Tony Khan made it clear he doesn’t rule out holding a stadium show in the US.

Since its launch in 2019, AEW has experienced significant growth. A major milestone was holding All In at Wembley Stadium in 2023, and the promotion plans to return for All In 2024. This success has led fans to speculate about AEW hosting a stadium event in the United States.

According to a report earlier this month, several individuals in the Dallas/Arlington area have indicated that AEW is planning major event there in 2025. Sources hinted that this could be a stadium show on par with “AEW’s biggest event,” but Tony Khan ruled out holding a pay-per-view in Texas at the moment.

While speaking during the ROH Death Before Dishonor Media Scrum, Tony Khan was asked about the possibility of a stadium show in the U.S. He acknowledged that such discussions are speculative but noted that AEW has consistently exceeded expectations, from their record-breaking debut show in Las Vegas to their success at Wembley Stadium.

Khan emphasized that AEW should not be underestimated and hinted that while the company has not yet attempted a stadium show in America, its potential for future events remains strong as they continue to build from the ground up.

“It’s speculative to talk about. Certainly, nobody ever thought we would sell over 81,000 tickets at Wembley Stadium. Time after time, whether it was the very first AEW show where we did the fastest sell-out in the history of Las Vegas for pro wrestling, that’s something we had never done. I would say never count out AEW in any aspect of the pro wrestling business. We have amazed people from our very first show until right now. It’s amazing what AEW has done in five years. The leaps and bounds AEW has grown is really an amazing thing we’ve done. As far as AEW, we’ve never tried to do a stadium show in America. I do think you can never count AEW out. We’re building right now from the ground up.”

We will have to wait and see whether AEW will end up holding a stadium show in the US, as Tony Khan certainly feels the company will be more than ready enough for such a show in the future.
