After joining AEW, Anna Jay has risen as a prominent figure in the women’s division, impressing fans with her dedication to skill development and it appears she has been confirmed for a huge STARDOM tournament.
Starting August 10th, STARDOM will launch their 5STAR Grand Prix tournament, which will run until August 31st. AEW’s Anna Jay has been announced as a participant in the Blue Stars A block, marking her debut in Japan. Jay began her wrestling career in 2019 and will be competing for the first time in the Japanese promotion.
The standings for this year’s tournament are divided into blocks. In Blue Block A, participants include Saori Anou, Syuri, Starlight Kid, Xena, Koguma, Anna Jay, and one spot yet to be announced.
Blue Block B features Suzu Suzuki, Saya Kamitani, Hanan, Ranna Yagami, Saki Kashima, Thekla, and Risa Sera. Red Block A includes Maika, Hazuki, Natsuko Tora, Konami, Manami, Natsupoi, and Yuna Mizumori, while Red Block B has Mayu Iwatani, Tam Nakano, Momo Watanabe, AZM, Mei Seira, Saya Iida, and Tomoka Inaba.
AEW President Tony Khan also made it clear that AEW will continue to have collaborations with STARDOM in the future and Anna Jay’s involvement in the tournament is proof of that. Therefore, we’ll have to see how she will fare in the upcoming tournament.
