WrestleMania is WWE’s flagship event, celebrated for its grandeur and global appeal. Recently, the idea of hosting WrestleMania in London has gained momentum, with London Mayor Sadiq Khan voicing his enthusiasm for bringing the iconic event to the UK’s capital.

John Cena even showed up at last year’s Money in the Bank in London to make it clear that a WrestleMania should take place in the city. We also reported about WWE’s willingness to host WrestleMania in London.

It was also reported that WWE is currently discussing having a WrestleMania event take place in London. Earlier, the Mayor of London suggested the city as a possible location for WrestleMania during his re-election campaign. Triple H responded with interest, saying, “Let’s talk.”

On Thursday, talks began with Mayor Sadiq Khan meeting WWE President Nick Khan and WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque at City Hall in London. While speaking to The Independent, Triple H explained why London is a good choice. He mentioned that London has a strong WWE fan base and that he has been visiting the city for 30 years. He noted that London’s global appeal could attract fans from all over the world.

The Game also talked about London’s wrestling history, mentioning famous wrestlers like Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks, William Regal, Adrian Street, and Johnny Saint. Triple H said he is excited about the possibility of WWE being part of London’s rich wrestling history.

“Why London? Some of our greatest and best fans are here in London. I’ve been coming here for 30 years. They’re always incredible.

“We have a massive following here but I think it also opens up to a lot of the rest of the world given how many people travel in every single year for events we do all over the globe.

“This is just an opportunity for being in a different location, amazing fans but where the rest of the globe could possibly get your easier. So WWE is one of the true global brands and I think you should look forward to seeing us all over the world.

“There’s always been a great history here, you know, going back to World of Sport and Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks, William Regal, Adrian Street, Johnny Saint – you name it.

“They’ve all come through here as part of the fabric of WWE runs deep in this region. So I’m excited to be here.”

The enthusiasm for London as a potential WrestleMania host extends beyond Mayor Khan’s remarks. It is to be noted that WrestleMania 41 is taking place in Las Vegas and a future WrestleMania will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis as well. Therefore, we’ll have to see when London will end up becoming the home of a WrestleMania event, as fans would more than love to see that happen.
