AEW has seen a ton of growth over the course of four years and it continues to make history with their upcoming events. AEW All In is certainly the company’s biggest event yet and it appears another title match has been confirmed for the show.
During the San Diego Comic Con, several AEW stars took the stage, including Tony Khan, Britt Baker, Will Ospreay, Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy, Swerve Strickland, and Toni Storm.
During a panel discussion, Britt Baker was speaking about Mercedes Mone when Mone herself made an unexpected entrance. Joined by her new associate Kamille, Mone had a crucial message for Baker.
Tensions escalated quickly as Mone confronted Baker with harsh words, calling her a ‘bitch.’ What started as a heated verbal exchange soon turned physical, leading to a scuffle on stage. Orange Cassidy stepped in to restrain Baker, while Darby Allin suggested letting the two settle their differences through a fight, though this was not to be.
Tony Khan soon took the microphone, expressing his frustration with the ongoing issues between Mone and Baker that began at Forbidden Door on Dynamite. He announced that at AEW All In London 2024 on August 25, Mercedes Mone will put her TBS Championship on the line against Britt Baker.
Obviously this is a huge match and fans are excited about it, but there are more matches fans can look forward to, including Bryan Danielson challenging Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship. Regardless, we’ll have to see how Mercedes Mone will fare against Britt Baker at All in.
