Jon Moxley’s debut at AEW Double or Nothing 2019 was a game-changer, quickly establishing him as one of the promotion’s top stars. Since then, he has consistently delivered outstanding performances. After a recent period of absence, the reason for his time away has now been revealed.

As previously reported, the former AEW World Champion has inked multi-year deal with AEW, ensuring his presence in the promotion for the foreseeable future and fans feel he truly lives up to his reputation.

Jon Moxley also defeated Tetsuya Naito to claim the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at NJPW Windy City Riot, thus making history and fans were happy for him.

The Purveyor of Violence would go on to defend the IWGP World Championship a few times and finally have a rematch with Tetsuya Naito at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door last month. Moxley would ultimately drop the title back to Tetsuya Naito when all was said and done.

We will have to wait and see what AEW will have planned for Jon Moxley once he makes his triumphant return to AEW television, as fans feel he is getting a well-deserved break for the time being.
