Pat McAfee, known for his dynamic presence in WWE, made his return to WWE programming earlier this year. However, he is expected to take a hiatus from his WWE RAW duties once ESPN’s College GameDay begins.
The former NFL punter made sure to sign lucrative deal with ESPN, which was major thing for him. However, many fans wondered if he was going to be part of ESPN’s College GameDay this year as there was uncertainty behind his appearance.
Pat McAfee recently announced that he will be returning to College GameDay and expressed enthusiasm for August 24th, aiming to be part of the greatest year in college football history.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Pat McAfee is expected to step down from his announcing role on WWE RAW once he joins the College GameDay team for the football season.
”It is expected that Pat McAfee will be pulled out of his announcing position on WWE RAW once he joins the College GameDay crew during football season.”
We’ll have to see how Pat McAfee performs in his upcoming role with ESPN’s College GameDay. There’s no doubt that fans will miss him alongside Michael Cole in the commentary booth on Monday Night RAW once he departs.
