WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan, whose legacy has already been tainted by past controversies and allegations of racism, is now facing fresh accusations that could further tarnish his reputation. Influencer Essence Jenai has alleged that Hogan dismissed her from her role as an ambassador for his ‘Real American Beer’ due to her race. In response to these claims, a former WWE writer has come forward, stating that Hogan was wrongfully accused of racism.

Essence Jenai alleged that Hulk Hogan hired her as an ambassador for his ‘Real American Beer’ brand but dismissed her the following day upon discovering she is Black. Jenai took to social media to share her experience, posting photos and detailing her sudden dismissal.

According to Jenai, her contract was initially set to last a week. However, after promoting the brand for just one day on July 2nd, Hogan allegedly terminated her contract. The next day, Jenai was replaced by white ambassadors. She also shared a text message from Hogan’s team suggesting that Hogan intended to cancel the events entirely, a claim Jenai disputes, noting that Hogan continued with the events using the new ambassadors.

In response, a representative for ‘Real American Beer’ released a statement addressing the allegations. The statement clarified that the brand had ended its short-term relationship with a third-party marketing agency, and that Hulk Hogan was not involved in this decision. The representative also emphasized that race was not a factor in the matter.

“We are deeply troubled by the false rumor circulating on social media that a brand ambassador hired by a third-party marketing agency was terminated by Hulk Hogan for racial reasons. Real American Beer simply ended its short-term relationship with the third-party marketing agency. Hulk Hogan was not involved in that decision, and race was not a factor. We are in communication with the agency to clear up the misunderstanding and incorrect information, and we believe this false statement will be withdrawn.”

While speaking on the Wrestling Outlaws podcast, former WWE writer Vince Russo addressed the allegations made against Hulk Hogan and he stated that he belives Hogan was wrongly accused, stating that Hogan surely learned from past incidents.

“We know a couple of years back Hogan had a big problem making some bad comments. Based on that, I just feel he would be super super sensitive about that happening again. One thing about Hogan is this is not a dumb guy by any stretch of the imagination. And if he made that big mistake that he paid years and years for, man I think he would really really think twice before making it again.”

Hulk Hogan has since moved on from the situation as he made an appearance at the Republican National Convention, but the accuser claimed that she was blackballed after coming forward. Regardless, we’ll have to see if there will be more allegations against Hogan in the future.
