Tony Schiavone has been a stalwart in Tony Khan’s company since its inception, fulfilling roles as a commentator and occasional announcer. His reputation speaks for itself and that’s why it comes as no surprise he shut down a heckler for interrupting him during the latest set of AEW Rampage taping.
If you require a reminder, Tony Schiavone received an award from the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame on Friday, July 19th. He joined Gordon Solie, Jim Ross, and Conrad Thompson as past recipients of the award.
During the July 26th AEW Rampage tapings, which took place on July 24th at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, Tony Schiavone made his way out for a segment.
Tony Schiavone cut a speech about his induction into the Lou Thesz Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame. During his speech, a heckler shouted that they didn’t care, to which Schavione had the perfect response — he simply told him to ‘s*** it.’
”Look you may not care, but you can go s*** it. I just wanna say this because I’m serious about it, God bless pro wrestling.”
Tony Schiavone is a true veteran in the world of professional wrestling, so any type of disrespect towards him will always be met with a proper response like the one Schiavone did at Rampage. Regardless, Schiavone truly loves professional wrestling and that’s all that matters.
