Ronda Rousey left WWE after her match against Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam last year. Since her exit, she has been quite vocal about her negative experiences in WWE and has now addressed potentially returning to WWE.

Earlier this year, Ronda Rousey talked about her WWE experiences, providing major insights into her tenure with the company. She used strong language towards Bruce Prichard and John Laurinaitis, expressing her frustrations by telling them to go ‘f*** themselves.’ Ronda Rousey also alleged that WWE discriminated against women and a lot of other things.

While speaking to WrestleZone, Ronda Rousey was asked if she is still asked about returning to pro wrestling and this time around, she was asked if there is a chance of her going back to WWE.

Rousey reflected on her time in WWE, expressing that while it’s a positive sign if people are still asking about her future in wrestling, her last run with WWE, involving Vince McMahon, Bruce Prichard, and John Laurinaitis, left her with a negative impression. Although most of the people from that period are no longer with WWE, Bruce Prichard remains, and Rousey admitted that she isn’t as excited to return as she was before.

Despite enjoying many matches and live shows, she primarily recalls the stress and anxiety of constantly being unprepared and having her time cut short. This stressful experience led her to focus on screenwriting and novel drafting as a form of escape. She acknowledges that conditions have improved since then, according to current talent, but finds it difficult to shake her past frustrations and feel as enthusiastic about returning.

“I mean, yeah, I feel like that’s a good thing. I guess it means that I missed it if people are still asking if I’m going to be fighting or wrestling. My last run with Vince, Bruce Prichard, and John Laurinaitis was such a negative experience. Most of them are gone now, but Bruce is still around. I’m not overly excited to come back like I was the last time. Even though I had many matches that I enjoyed and had a great time, when I look back, I don’t really think of the joy I had in those matches.

I mostly remember the anxiety of never knowing what was going on until the very last minute, not being allowed to prepare, and having our time cut repeatedly. The experience was so needlessly stressful, which is why I focused so much on screenwriting and drafting novels as a refuge. I know things are a lot different now; I’ve heard from the girls that it’s much better. But it’s hard to shake that past experience and be excited to come back like I was before.”

Ronda Rousey also believes that WWE’s women’s division is much better now that Vince McMahon is no longer in charge. Nevertheless, Rousey is far more focused on her other career right now, so a potential WWE return is definitely not in the cards at the moment.
