Kamille departed from the NWA last year, sparking speculation among fans about her next career move. Kamille had signed contract with AEW already months ago but she finally made her debut as an AEW star during Dynamite this week, assisting Mercedes Mone. And now Mone stated that Kamille’s debut is merely one piece of the puzzle.
AEW Dynamite’s special “Blood and Guts” episode was truly a remarkable show from top to bottom. Fans were excited to see Britt Baker back in action, and she delivered a great performance. She and Hikaru Shida put on an exciting, classic wrestling match that had the crowd hooked. Their rivalry was clear, making it an unforgettable bout.
In the final moments, Shida decided not to use a Kendostick, which gave Baker the chance to win. Baker took advantage, using her signature submission move to secure her first win in a while. But her celebration was cut short when Mercedes Mone, the TBS and NJPW Strong Champion, arrived unexpectedly.
Mone hinted at a possible match with Baker at AEW All In but then declined. Just as things were heating up, Kamille made a surprise attack on Baker from behind. The segment ended with Mone and Kamille standing over a defeated Britt Baker, hinting at a new and powerful alliance.
In a digital exclusive, Mercedes Mone was asked about Kamille’s debut. She responded with curiosity about Kamille, encouraging viewers to check out AEW Dynamite next week to learn more about her and her significance.
“Who? When? What? Why? How? Let me tell you who and why. Look at her. This is Kamille. If you want to hear more about who she is, you need to tune into AEW Dynamite next week.”
Mone then talked about her alliance with Kamille on Instagram Live, revealing that it was just the beginning of her larger strategy. She noted that money can buy someone impressive and hinted that this is just the initial phase of her plan to dominate AEW.
“You know what money can buy? A bad b****. That’s what money can buy [laughs]. Oh my god. That’s just part one of my plan of taking over AEW. Now what?”
AEW also kept Kamille’s debut quiet internally. Regardless, we will have to wait and see what Mercedes Mone and Kamille will have planned for Britt Baker on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, as we slowly approach the All In pay-per-view in August.
