The grueling schedule of professional wrestling has affected Asuka, who recently had knee surgery. She has been working hard on her rehab and was seen without crutches at a WWE live event in Japan.
Asuka previously announced that she would take break from WWE television to concentrate on recovering from a lingering knee issue. The problem first became apparent about a few months ago during a segment on SmackDown, where Asuka was visibly seen limping.
The Empress of Tomorrow underwent knee surgery and began an intense rehabilitation journey, as she is determined to make her return to the squared circle as soon as humanly possible.
During the WWE Live Event in Osaka at the Edion Arena, Asuka accompanied Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai, IYO SKY, and Kairi Sane to the ring. Asuka opened up the show and was spotted without any crutches, which is a positive sign in her recovery journey.
We have also reported that Asuka is not expected to make her return to the ring this year. Nonetheless, fans in Japan were definitely happy to see The Empress of Tomorrow and we hope she returns to in-ring action whenever possible, as fans just want her to be healthy.
