AEW’s Blood & Guts event took place in Nashville on July 24, offering fans an electrifying show. The Elite’s defeat was unexpected for the heel faction, but Team AEW triumphed as Matt Jackson stopped Darby Allin from setting Jack Perry on fire inside the double-caged ring. This result was part of a long-term storyline. The crowd also showed up for the event in a big way.
Although AEW television shows have showcased a smaller crowd in recent memory, Blood & Guts did not have that issue. The Bridgestone Arena was full of AEW fans, all ready to watch the brutal showcase that night. In fact, they did better than their last trip to the market.
Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that AEW ended up outselling their last AEW Dynamite trip to Nashville this time around. It was not noted what the final attendance for Blood & Guts was.
According to Wrestle Tix, AEW’s ticket sales for the recent event showed significant progress. At the time of the event, 511 tickets were still available out of a setup of 5,520 seats. A total of 5,009 tickets had been distributed, marking an increase of 750 tickets sold one day prior to the show.
We will have to see how AEW follows up on their Blood & Guts special. They certainly brought a lot to the table, and over five-thousand fans showed up in Nashville to see everything go down. Hopefully, AEW can keep this momentum, so their crowds will bounce back to what they once were.
