Tony Khan Sets the Record Straight on Potential AEW and WWE Collaboration

AEW has certainly come a long way since its inception back in 2019. The product has undergone many changes since then and this includes AEW working with other promotions. With that said, Tony Khan has now set the record straight on a potential collaboration between WWE and AEW.

The AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view saw the best wrestlers from both promotions compete in solid matches. After all, CMLL, STARDOM and NJPW were all involved in the AEW event in a big way.

While speaking to the Rich Eisen Show, AEW President Tony Khan was asked if there was a situation or possibility of AEW and WWE working together and holding a supershow in the future.

Tony Khan expressed that he would love for it to happen, though he isn’t sure if it’s feasible. He believes it would be great for the fans and thinks it would be wonderful if it could be done. However, he acknowledged that there are many challenging business aspects in professional wrestling that would make it a difficult task.

“I would love if that were possible. I don’t know that it is, but it would be great if it was possible for the fans. I think that would be wonderful. However, there are a lot of challenging business aspects in the world of pro wrestling that I think would make that a very challenging thing to do.”

Nick Aldis also previously revealed why WWE never mentions AEW on their programming, so it is clear a potential collaboration between the two companies won’t happen anytime soon. However, anything is possible in the world of professional wrestling, so we’ll have to see what will happen in the end.
