Ric Flair is a two-time WWE Hall of Famer, and he’s had 16 World Championship reigns on top of that. His name, and anything associated with him, has value. Now, a ring-worn robe from Flair is going for a ridiculous amount.
In recent memory, Ric Flair exited AEW as their partnership came to an end. They were only brought together in order to plug Flair’s energy drink. Now, it appears that The Nature Boy may have figured out another way to make big money by cleaning out his closet.
Goldin Auctions is now selling a Nature Boy robe on auction to the highest bidder. There are currently five bids and the amount is $65k.
Ric Flair must have really liked the fact that his robe is fetching such a high-dollar amount. He tweeted out a screenshot of the auction along with a comment to proclaim that certain things are forever.
The robe features a tan-shaded, fur-lined collar and sleeves, with an auburn belt, setting a jungle theme. It shows signs of use and discoloration. On the right front tail, a majestic lion and tigers appear, bedazzled with stones, giving the robe a dynamic realism. The left front tail features cheetahs peering out from the grass. The sleeves continue the theme with lions and tigers peeking out of bedazzled flora, symbolizing Flair’s tenacity in the ring.
The jungle motif extends to the robe’s reverse, with lions, tigers, cheetahs, and a giraffe emerging from a tree. “Nature Boy” is boldly bedazzled across the top, emphasizing Flair’s connection to nature. The robe, from Flair’s time in the NWA and similar to those worn during his 1980s feud with Dusty Rhodes, shows moderate wear but remains striking. Flair’s enduring appeal makes this robe a valuable addition to any wrestling collection.
We will have to see if Ric Flair makes it back to WWE. Triple H would likely have some use for him eventually, but it appears that Flair is doing just fine on his own. We will have to see how much he gets for that robe, but it’s already taking off.
