MVP has been absent from live television for some time, sparking rumors about his potential departure from the company this year.

While MVP remains listed internally on the WWE roster, his current contract is set to expire in mid-August, and there have been no significant discussions about a new deal, leaving his status up in the air.

Amidst the exit rumours, MVP took to his X address another set of speculation that had been making rounds on social media. The former WWE United States Champion acknowledged the reports on Twitter of him being a part of a WWE tryout to become a producer or a part of the commentary desk.

MVP shut the conversation by revealing that he had already been a WWE producer back in 2020 and doing some commentary work as well.

“I just read on Twitter that I was being considered for a new position and had some “tryouts” to be a producer or on commentary. Were those “tryouts” in 2020?
When I was actually a producer and… doing commentary? 🤔 Ahhh those interwebs. 🤣.”

With less than a month left on MVP’s WWE contract and him clarifying his status regarding a return to in-ring action, it seems likely that he will explore opportunities in other promotions. However, in the unpredictable world of professional wrestling, anything is possible.
