Lexis King’s contract with AEW expired last year and he made his way to the WWE Performance Center, honing his craft in a big way. He is a true star in NXT right now and has revealed the difference in experience during his time in AEW and now WWE.

Lexis King even confirmed in the past that he does drive Lexus 2004, IS 300, so there is absolutely no doubt that he is a car aficionado and loves talking about them and buying them.

While speaking to Busted Open Radio, Lexis King contrasted his current experience in WWE’s NXT with his time in AEW, pointing out significant differences in his career trajectory. He emphasized that in NXT, he enjoys a respected position within the locker room, a valued role on the show, and a clear sense of direction. King noted that he is appreciated for both his in-ring skills and his contributions outside the ring.

King contrasted this with his previous experience in AEW, where he felt like he was struggling and not receiving the same level of respect or opportunity. King referred to a period in Jacksonville as a time when he was not focused and felt like a “shadow” of his current self. In NXT, he benefits from the Performance Center’s facilities and the responsibility of serving as a role model for younger talent, which he finds motivating and fulfilling.

I mean it’s night and day. I’m not gonna talk about Brian Pillman Jr. and the trials and tribulations in AEW. Here in NXT, the King’s got it all. I got the respect of the locker room, I got a spot on the show. I’m valued for what I bring to the table, inside and outside the ring. There’s direction for me, I got my eye on the prize. We saw what happened in Jacksonville when Pillman’s eye wasn’t on the ball, I was a shadow of who I am now. I was a nobody. Here in NXT we got the Performance Center, I got a place to train. I got young boys and girls depending on me to perform and set an example.

Lexis King also believes MJF can take any spot in WWE. Regardless, King is more than happy working in NXT right now and that is all he could ask for, considering his plight in AEW.
