Lexis King’s contract with AEW expired last year and he made his way to the WWE Performance Center. He finally became a star on NXT and has been a regular feature on television. With that said, Lexis King believes that MJF could easily take any spot in WWE if he joins the promotion.

While speaking on Busted Open, Lexis King was asked about the ongoing WWE-TNA crossover. He expressed that he finds the crossover intriguing and emphasized that he doesn’t differentiate between wrestling promotions such as TNA, ECW, or AEW. He noted that he views the wrestling landscape as a whole rather than focusing on individual rosters or brands.

I think it’s cool and all (King said about WWE-TNA partnership). I don’t care what acronym. TNA, ECW, AEW. I don’t care where you come from. I came from a different acronym at one time and I don’t look at any one roster as a set bubble. I think you look at pro wrestling, you gotta look at the whole landscape, you gotta look at the entire roster.

King also noted that MJF, currently the AEW International Champion, could potentially come to WWE and take anyone’s spot if he desired. He noted that he perceives all wrestlers, regardless of their affiliation, as competitors. King stated that if anyone from another promotion like TNA attempts to take spots on his show, they will be on his radar.

As the self-proclaimed “king of NXT,” King stated that he is committed to defending his position and is prepared to compete vigorously against anyone who challenges his domain. He believes that all wrestlers should be equally dedicated to securing their spots and delivering their best performances, regardless of the promotion they come from.

You got guys like MJF over there in AEW, he could come over here at any time and steal anybody’s spot if he wanted to. So I don’t look at different factions as this, that or the other. I think everybody is an opponent, everybody is an enemy of mine and if you’re coming over to my show and taking spots, then you’re on my radar, because I’m the king of NXT and this is my domain and you’re gonna come in here and you’re gonna parade around that TNA flag, well you better be ready to get in the ring and throw some hands because I’m fighting for my spot too and I don’t care what acronym that is. We’re all wrestlers, we’re all in this business together and I think we should all be fighting for the spots equally as hard and we should all be putting on our best performances.

MJF also previously claimed that going to WWE was a real possibility during his AEW absence. Nevertheless, MJF clearly bet on himself and will be sticking around in AEW for a long time, so it is likely fans don’t really think about him going to WWE anymore.
